Argon Gas
In our low emissitivity glass, we can put Argon Gas in the vacuum gap between the panes. Agron Gas is a Noble Gas, and does not react with any other element. The primary use of Argon Gas in double glazing is to slow down convection of heat inside the space. It can improve both the thermal and the accoustic properties of the glass. Krypton and Xenon are also used as substitutes for Argon by some manufacturers, but the heat-saving properties remain the same.
Alva boarding up services
If you’ve had an accident late at night, we won’t be able to replace your glass immediately. In this case, we will board up your window with plywood boards to maintain security, and arrange for the glass to be fitted once it is available. We operate a 24-hour* rapid-response Alva boarding-up service, to give you peace of mind when you need it most. We can also board-up large Alva commercial premises when the owner has vacated the building, or is in the process of a large-scale refurbishment, where the building needs to be protected against squatters and other intruders. All boarding-up jobs in Alva and the local area include a free quote on replacement glass if required.
